Trezor Suite — Manage Your Crypto Securely
Trezor Suite is the official software companion for Trezor hardware wallets. It provides a private, user-friendly interface to send, receive, exchange and track cryptocurrencies while keeping private keys offline and protected by the hardware device.
What is Trezor Suite?
Trezor Suite is a secure desktop and web application built to work together with Trezor Model One and Model T devices. The Suite offers a unified dashboard for portfolio overview, account management, transaction history and built-in exchanges — all while ensuring cryptographic operations are performed on the device itself. Because private keys never leave the hardware, Trezor Suite lets you interact with blockchains safely even on an internet-connected computer.
Install & Get Started
- Download the Suite: Go to the official Trezor website and download Trezor Suite for your OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) or open the official web app. Always verify the URL before downloading.
- Connect your device: Plug your Trezor into your computer using the supplied cable and unlock it using the device PIN.
- Initialize or restore: Create a new wallet on a new device or restore an existing wallet using your recovery seed. Trezor Suite walks you step-by-step through this process.
- Add accounts: Use the Suite to add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum and other supported coins. Each account appears in the dashboard for easy management.
Core Features
- Hardware-backed security: All signing is performed on the Trezor device — the Suite only displays transaction details and relays signed operations.
- Portfolio & balances: Get a consolidated view of holdings across accounts and supported blockchains with clear balance and history information.
- Built-in exchange partners: Buy, sell or swap assets without exposing your seed — integrated providers handle liquidity inside the Suite interface.
- Advanced coin support: Manage native coins and many tokens, with continual updates for new assets and features.
- Privacy tools: Options such as Tor (where available) and local data storage help minimize fingerprinting and exposure.
How Transactions Work
When you create a transaction in Trezor Suite, the unsigned transaction data is prepared by the app and sent to your Trezor device. The hardware displays transaction details — amount, recipient, fees — and requires your physical confirmation on its buttons or touchscreen. Once confirmed, the device signs the transaction with the private key stored inside the secure element; the signed transaction is then returned to Suite for broadcast. This physical confirmation step prevents malware or remote attackers from altering transaction details.
Best Security Practices
- Download Trezor Suite only from the official Trezor website.
- Never type, photograph, or store your recovery seed digitally — keep it offline and secure.
- Always verify addresses and amounts on your Trezor device screen before approving any transaction.
- Use a strong PIN and enable passphrase protection if you need extra privacy.
- Keep firmware and Suite updated to receive security fixes and feature improvements.
Troubleshooting & Support
If Suite doesn’t detect your device, try a different USB cable or port and ensure the device is unlocked. For firmware or connectivity issues, use the official support resources available on Trezor’s website. Avoid third-party guides that ask for your recovery seed or ask you to enter it into a website — Trezor support will never request your seed.
